Single Sign-On

Single Sign-On lets property teams use one login across approved systems, improving access control and reducing administrative work.

Definition

Single Sign-On (SSO) is a login method that lets a user sign in once with one approved account and access multiple authorized systems. In multifamily operations, that can include property management, accounting, communication, access-control, and other tools, depending on each person’s permissions. SSO connects those systems to a central identity source so access can be managed more consistently.

Example

A new leasing associate is added to the company’s central identity system and assigned access to the property management system, tour calendar, and resident messaging tools. They sign in once to reach the approved systems they need, and if they leave or change roles, operations can update access centrally instead of changing separate logins in each tool.

Why It Matters?

SSO helps operations leaders standardize how teams access software across properties and departments. It can reduce password-related friction, support faster onboarding and offboarding, and make it easier to control who can access sensitive resident, prospect, and property data.
