Custom rating

A custom rating is a reusable rating option or scale that a team creates for a specific inspection, template, or operational scenario. Instead of relying only on default choices, teams can apply custom ratings to template items, reuse them across multiple items, and keep them available for future work.

During a move-out inspection, an operations team creates custom ratings for appliance condition such as Like new, Minor wear, Repair needed, and Replace. The same ratings can be reused across refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, and washers to keep inspection results consistent across communities.

Custom ratings help operations leaders standardize how teams describe conditions, progress, or outcomes across properties. This makes inspections easier to compare, reduces ambiguity in field notes, and supports more consistent reporting and follow-up decisions.
