Virtual tours

Virtual tours let apartment prospects view units or communities remotely through live video, recorded walkthroughs, or interactive digital tours.

Definition

A virtual tour is a digital way for prospects to view an apartment community or unit without visiting in person. It can be live, such as a video walkthrough with a leasing associate, or on-demand, such as a recorded video or interactive 3D tour. In multifamily operations, virtual tours are part of the touring mix alongside in-person and self-guided tours.

Example

A prospect relocating from another state asks to see a two-bedroom unit before applying. The leasing team sends an on-demand unit walkthrough and then schedules a live video tour so the prospect can ask questions about finishes, amenities, parking, and neighborhood access.

Why it matters

Virtual tours help leasing teams serve prospects who cannot visit during office hours or travel to the property. They can reduce friction in the leasing journey, expand the pool of qualified renters, and give operations leaders another tour channel to manage, measure, and staff effectively.
