Managed Wi-Fi

Managed Wi-Fi is an internet service model where Wi-Fi is provided across an entire multifamily property instead of residents arranging only their own in-unit service. It can support connectivity in units, common areas, and staff work areas, often with the network operated or monitored by an outside provider.

A maintenance supervisor uses a dedicated staff Wi-Fi network to update work orders while moving between apartments, hallways, and amenities, while residents stay connected on the community network from their unit to the pool area.

Managed Wi-Fi matters because reliable connectivity now affects resident experience, staff mobility, smart-property systems, and leasing workflows. For operations leaders, it also changes responsibilities around vendor oversight, network reliability, cybersecurity coordination, and retrofit planning.
